CHÂTEAU RAHOUL 2022- MAISON DOURTHE – Graves

CHÂTEAU RAHOUL 2022- MAISON DOURTHE – Graves

Beautiful freshness, tanginess and a nice concentration on the nose (blackcurrant, morello cherry, black plum, bigarreau cherry, bird cherry, with its tannic touch and a good bitterness). Then, it expresses the aromas of vanilla, liquorice, a hint of cardamom and nutmeg, the delicacy of dark chocolate and chocolate morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, a herbaceous touch of mint and blackcurrant leaf in the background, but without adding the green hint. We also find a floral bouquet (violet, dried rose). The palate is straight, tight, chiseled, with a good bitterness of coffee and bird cherry on the attack, associated with notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry, raspberry and cranberries. We then find flavors of bitter almond, toasted hazelnut, liquorice, grilled vanilla in the background and cardamom, as well as expressive notes of coffee and chocolate on the persistence, which add delicacy. A chiseled and lively wine.
