The nose is aromatic, taut and offers a certain power as well as an intense, taut grain. We find notes of boysenberry, cubeb pepper and more lightly, small wild berries associated with touches of spice and a hint of star anise. The wine benefits from decanting. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, minerality, precision, good definition as well as a tangy frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of cassis, bright cherry and more lightly, small juicy red berries, associated with hints of violet, vanilla as well as a hint of toasted almond, racy gravel and a subtle, almost eucalyptus-like hint (in the background).
