Le Pauillac de Latour 2022 – Pauillac

The nose is fruity and fresh, offering concentrated freshness, depth as well as a fine floral side. We find notes of blackberry, blue plum and more lightly, cornflower, associated with touches of small red berries (with almost Mediterranean side), as well as fine hints of star anise, discreet hints of Timut pepper, a subtle hint of sweet pepper, spices and discreet floral hints. The palate is well-built, fresh, supple, elegant, airy, delicate and offers a little creaminess as well as delicacy. All in accuracy and freshness. Brilliant, creamy and fresh. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy cassis, pulpy boysenberry and more lightly, roasted-elegant raspberry, associated with touches of bright redcurrant as well as fine hints of minerality, a lovely hint of fresh tonka, flowers and toasted/torrefied hazelnut. Nice little chewiness on the finish/persistence. A subtle hint of vanilla in the background. Nice persistence.
