Carruades de Lafite 2022 – Pauillac

Lovely, intense, precise nose which offers a frank, intense, taut grain. Lovely finesse in its texture and power. We find notes of pulpy raspberry, blackberry and more lightly, violet associated with touches of Bigarreau cherry as well as a discreet, almost plum-like hint. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, mineral, elegant, airy and nicely mellow. Nicely juicy and pulpy all in elegance. Beautiful energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, pulpy/bright red cherry and more lightly, small, bright red berries, associated with a touch of almost rhubarb, pulpy/juicy violet plum, as well as hints of tobacco, toast and a fine hint of tonka bean. Lovely little mellowness and gourmandise. Good length and persistence. Pretty brilliance and elegance.
