The nose is fruity and offers a certain intensity as well as power. Needs decanting. It reveals peppery, pretty fruit, notes of wild strawberry, crushed wild raspberry and small notes of pulpy cassis, associated with touches of pepper and fine hints of licorice stick. The palate is fruity, juicy, supple and fresh, with lovely minerality and energy. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy cassis and small notes of bright redcurrant, associated with touches of tobacco, nutmeg and subtle hints of clove and flowers. Good length. Tannins are mellow and gourmand with a fine salinity. Nice freshness on the attack. Nicely saline.
