The nose offers fruit, concentration, spices as well as a certain small power and intensity. There are notes of pulpy cassis, pulpy wild small red fruits and small notes of flowers associated with touches of tobacco, a hint of infusion as well as a discreet hint of crushed small blue fruits, Madagascar pepper and a toasted hint. The palate is nicely built, supple, fresh, juicy, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, accuracy, suppleness as well as a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of boysenberry, small pulpy/juicy blue fruits and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with touches of almond, a fine almost balsamic hint (in the background) as well as fine hints of infusion, nutmeg and toasted almond. A subtle sappy/eucalyptus hint on the finish/persistence. A nicely juicy and fresh wine.
