Château la Valière 2022 – Médoc

The nose is precise and offers fruit, a delicate mellowness, and a fine tension. It reveals notes of bright cassis, elegant roasted cherry, blueberry and small notes of quite ripe small red fruits associated with delicate, almost balsamic touches as well as a hint of camphor and clove. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, tension, a certain precision, a slight richness, as well as a certain energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, pulpy/juicy blackberry, and small notes of bright red berries associated with touches of fresh flowers/pistils as well as fine hints of cinnamon and a discreet hint of spice. Tannins are racy and very discreetly tight (in the background). A subtle hint of sappiness lingers.
