Château Tour Castillon 2022 – Médoc

The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of boysenberry, camphor, and small notes of flowers associated with fine touches of small, bright red berries, strawberry tree fruit, as well as a discreet hint of lilac and fresh nutmeg. The palate is mineral, balanced, and offers fruit, a slight richness, a fine straightness/linearity, as well as a slight fluidity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy/juicy cherry, and small notes of red berries associated with touches of blond tobacco, cinnamon as well as fine hints of toasted almond and cardamom. Tannins are finely tight. A subtle almost balsamic hint in the background.
