The nose offers a certain concentration, pulpiness, a certain deepness and a slight darkness. It reveals notes of concentrated raspberry, pulpy Bigarreau cherry and small notes of cassis associated with touches of camphor, smoke as well as fine hints of crushed small fruits, smoke, star anise, discreet hints of cornflower and spices. The palate offers minerality, a fresh frame, suppleness as well as a certain gourmandise. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, violet, concentrated red berries and small notes of Bigarreau cherry associated with a touch of iris, a very discreet almost rooty hint as well as a fine hint of clove and nutmeg. Good length.
