Château Castera 2022 – Médoc

The nose offers fruit, power, and a certain concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry, pepper, and small notes of concentrated small red berries associated with touches of flowers, juniper berries, and fine hints of toasted/vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced, and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, a smoky hint, fine concentration, suavity, and elegant darkness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of concentrated blackberry, concentrated small red berries, and small notes of smokiness associated with touches of camphor, violet as well as fine hints of black cherry, zan, and hints of roasted/toasted notes. Good length. Tannins are finely mellow and racy.
