The wine has a bright ruby color, of medium intensity, with purple highlights. The nose offers density in freshness, a gourmet fruity material and roasted and smoky notes. We find in particular the aromas of roasted red cherry, crushed strawberry, roasted raspberry, as well as morello cherry, roasted meat in the background, liquorice, cumin and grated nutmeg. After aeration, we also find notes of cornflower, violet, dried peppermint, cocoa and sweet coffee. The palate offers gourmandise and a ripe, concentrated and slightly sweet fruity material. It expresses notes of crushed strawberry, red cherry jam, ripe raspberry and morello cherry, associated with notes of liquorice, mint chocolate, white pepper, nutmeg, as well as toasted hazelnut and coffee. The finish is juicy, sapid – the wine first expresses the flavors of cherry juice, which are then complemented by notes of chocolate and toast on the persistence. Tannins are powdery, enveloping and cocoa-like. The acidity is lively and fresh, but supple.
