The wine has a beautiful, intense ruby color. The nose is fresh, almost eucalyptus-like, with notes of blackberry and plum. There is a hint of sweet spice. The second nose opens with more intensity in its discretion. We find crisp berries and spices. There is still this minty freshness and a slight darkness. The palate is fresh and fruity with lovely notes of pepper, rose, and crisp red berries. The tannins are present, intense, and grippy right through to the finish. The finish is mouth-watering and light despite the deep presence of the tannins. There is a lovely fruitiness with a hint of vanilla and cocoa. This is a wine with structure and finesse.
