The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is delicate, but gourmand and fruity, with a certain concentration and depth. It expresses notes of crunchy Morello cherry, wild blackberry, candied sour cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, tart black plum and crushed fresh cassis, associated with toasty notes of caramelized hazelnut, toasted almond and licorice in the background, with touches of flowers (wild rose, violet, iris, a touch of peony) and aromatic herbs (fresh basil, crushed mint leaf, fresh rosemary, fresh bay leaf), as well as mineral (graphite) and chocolate (in the background) touch. The palate is juicy and airy on the attack. It then expresses flavors of tart fruit (crunchy strawberry, cranberries, bigarreau cherry, fresh cassis, a tangy and slightly smoky hint of bergamot, a tannic side of wild plum), aromatic herbs (crushed mint, fresh basil, a touch of dried pine needles, rosemary and thyme), flowers (wild rose, violet, peony), sweet spices (licorice, white pepper, clove) as well as a hint of fresh hazelnut and fresh tobacco in the background. The tannic structure is tight, firm, with a hint of bitterness. The finish is fairly persistent, chiselled and tangy. Fruity and freshness.
