The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is subtly perfumed and offers accuracy, a fine spicy side (cloves, crushed coriander seeds, a touch of liquorice) and a perceptible mineral framework (graphite, with a slight touch of iron). It also expresses enveloped tertiary notes (cedar, dry tobacco, undergrowth and damp leaves in the background), a slight hint of torrefaction in the background (toasted hazelnut, coffee and bitter cocoa), as well as a concentrated fruitiness (wild strawberry), blackberry, raspberry coulis, candied blackcurrant, fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, cranberry jam), combined with notes of dried mint, dried oregano, dried basil and wildflowers. The palate offers concentration, juiciness, a savoury spiciness and firm tannins, a little gripping in the mid-palate. It expresses the flavors of fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed wild strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, cranberry jam and dried raspberry, combined with herbaceous notes of dried mint, dried basil, rosemary, some spiciness (licorice stick, cloves, cumin) and floral (dried rose, field flowers). The finish is juicy and persistent and expresses fine tertiary notes of tobacco, cedar and undergrowth which complete the profile of the wine. Good acidity, the tannins are powdery and sapid, with a good bitterness on the finish.
