The wine has a pale ruby color, with slight garnet reflections. The nose is savoury, aromatic and offers pronounced notes of sweet spices at first nose. It expresses in particular notes of ground coriander seeds, cumin, cloves, liquorice, associated with notes of fresh tobacco, leather and damp leaves (in the background), dried rose, lily, peony, with fine herbaceous hints (dried basil, fresh thyme, dried rosemary), a touch of cedar and dry pine needles. We also find a ripe and juicy fruitiness: the aromas of morello cherry, red cherry, crushed raspberry, cranberries, wild strawberry and blackcurrant in the background, as well as a very delicate smoky and lemony touch of Earl Gray tea. The palate is melted, juicy, and offers an enveloping fruitiness, as well as fine-grained tannins, but with a firm structure. It expresses the flavors of crushed wild strawberry, juicy morello cherry, red cherry jam, fresh blackcurrant and crushed blueberry, combined with delicate notes of undergrowth, tobacco and cedar in the background, with touches of sweet spices (cumin, cloves, toasted vanilla, cinnamon in the background, coriander seeds), dried herbs (dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried mint, dried basil) and flowers (dried rose, peony, violet, dried blueberry in the background), combined with a touch of cocoa and roasting (coffee, toasted hazelnut). The finish is sapid, with lively acidity and a smoky touch of bergamot on the finish.
