The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is savoury, spicy and fruity, with a slight hint of roasted fruit. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, wild blackberry, black plum, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, as well as expressive floral, slightly sweet aromas (iris, peony), associated with a fine spiciness (liquorice, a hint of vanilla and cinnamon in the background) and herbaceous noted (dried thyme, dried rosemary, a sappy touch of dried pine needles). The palate is juicy and silky, but offers a firm tannic structure, a fine grain of tannins and a slight bitterness on the finish. We find the flavors of morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant, associated with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, grilled vanilla, cloves), flowers (peony, violet, dried rose) and aromatic herbs (thyme, dried rosemary, basil). The finish is moderately persistent, but silky and gourmand, with juicy notes of ripe fruit, good bitterness and nice acidity.
