The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses the aromas of red cherry, tangy red currant, cranberries, raspberry, as well as subtle touches of torrefaction (smoke, toast, even caramelized hazelnut), as well as vanilla (in the background), nutmeg and a floral touch of lilac. The palate is gourmand, juicy and offers an expression of pure fruit (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, cranberries, red currant), complemented by light touches of sweet spices (vanilla in the background, nutmeg), lilac and a hint of torrefaction in the background (coffee, a very slight note of caramel). The tannins are a little grippy, velvety and sapid, with a powdery texture. The finish is gourmand, fruity, slightly toasted and chocolatey, refreshed by a nice acidity.
