Agnès Paquet Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 2022 – Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is fruity and ripe: it expresses notes of wild strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry, red currant jelly, a hint of crushed blueberry, combined with a fine touch of chocolate and spice (white pepper, liquorice), as well as fine herbaceous and floral hints in the background (wild mint, blackcurrant bud in the background, lily) and a smoky touch. The palate is juicy, chiseled, with a nice concentration of fruit and airy at the same time. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry, dried red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, crushed blueberry, as well as a smoky note, a fine spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper) and with a delicate floral touch (lily, dried rose) and a touch of wild mint. The tannins are present, well structured, but not drying. The finish is persistent, gourmand, sapid, spicy, slightly chocolatey, with a hint of dried mint in the background, with a refreshing acidity.
