The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers accuracy, concentration, elegance and beautiful complexity. It expresses notes of tangy red fruits (crunchy strawberry, cranberry juice, wild raspberry, dried raspberry, bigarreau cherry, dried cranberries, a hint of blueberry), combined with a delicate smoky and meaty touch, which is completed by notes of sweet spices after aeration. We then smell notes of white pepper, ground cumin, dried liquorice stick, roasted coriander seeds, a delicate hint of grilled vanilla and fennel seeds, as well as a refreshing and refined herbaceous touch (peppermint, blackcurrant bud, laurel berries), a hint of toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and heated wood, as well as an elegant floral bouquet (cornflower, rose petals, lotus). The palate is chiseled, straight and offers precision and tangy flavors of red fruits. It expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, cranberry juice, raspberry, tangy strawberry, crushed blackcurrant and blueberry, associated with a delicate but perceptible spiciness (liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg, ground cumin, seeds of roasted coriander), a touch of torrefaction (toasted hazelnut, heated wood), herbaceous and floral notes (crushed mint, blackcurrant bud, fresh cornflower, rose and lily petals). The finish is persistent, peppery and tasty, with a salivating acidity and a good bitterness of cranberries, and with a juicy and concentrated fruitiness. The tannins are very fine, but firm and well structured. A wine to keep, with depth, complexity and beautiful concentration, all in precision and elegance.
