Cantina Sociale Colli Fiorentini – Santa Pazienza 2012 – Vinsanto del Chianti

The nose offers a small power, a tight grain and a small peppery side. It reveals notes of tobacco, strawberry, dried zest and small notes of dried lemon associated with a hint of gray pepper and spices. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, tension and a certain precision as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe kumquat, dried apricot and small notes of sweet/ juicy lemon associated with a touch of crystallized grapefruit and hints of candied pineapple, nutmeg and discreet hints of spices, a slight tannic hint (in the background) and toasted almonds. Good length.
