The nose is racy and offers a fine deepness. It needs to be decanted. There are notes of violets, dense small black fruits and small notes of quite ripe red berries associated with hints of camphor, flowers and slight hints of spices, sense of the place (local dry soil) and discreet pepper. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, minerality, precision, tension as well as beautiful acidulous and ripe fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy redcurrants, juicy/acidulous strawberries and small notes of boysenberry associated with hints of sense of the place (local dry soil), blond tobacco as well as slight hints of black olive and a hint of pepper. Sappy and supple tannins. Good work on the good bitterness in the background. Good length.
