The nose is spicy and racy. There are notes of sense of place (local dry soil) and more lightly of fruit combined with a touch of balsamic. Wine benefits from being decanted. The palate is energetic and offers tension, a beautiful acidulous structure, fat as well as a discreetly tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild raspberry, juicy blackberry, small dense/pulpy fruits and slight notes of tonka bean associated with touches of undergrowth and a discreet almost balsamic hint. Tannins are discreetly marked and tight.
