The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers depth, complexity and concentration. It expresses gourmand notes of wild strawberry jam, ripe morello cherry, raspberry coulis, wild blackberry, crushed blackcurrant, black plum, morello cherry jam, combined with touches of mint chocolate, peppermint, dry pine needles, fresh tobacco, oregano and basil, as well as a discreet minerality (graphite, dry gravel) and a hint of balsamic cream in the background. There are also notes of sweet spices (roasted coriander seeds, liquorice, cloves), dried wild flowers and dried rose. The attack on the palate is smooth, delicious and fruity. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, ripe wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, black plum, wild blackberry, blueberry and the tanginess of bigarreau cherry, with a tannic and slightly bitter touch of mountain ash, which appears in the middle of the palate. We then find notes of wild mint, fresh basil, fresh tobacco, romarin, dried wild flowers, a touch of dried rose and lily, as well as a delicate spicy and toasted side (coriander seeds, licorice, white pepper, toasted almond in the background). The tannins are firm, a little dry on the finish, but fine. The finish is long, sapid, with a salivating acidity which balances the dryness of tannins and a slight bitterness. Good structure, juiciness and energy.
