Domaine du Pas de l’Escalette – Les Clapas 2022 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand and offers a beautiful polished side of the fruit, a beautiful definition, a certain balanced richness of the fruit and deepness. There are notes of black cherry, violet and small notes of bright red berries associated with hints of racy minerality, roasted small fruits, a hint of crushed cherry, hints of violet, liquorice stick, a subtle hint of spices as well as an imperceptible hint of olive and spices. The mouth is beautifuly mineral, silky, delicate and powerful (at the same time), precise and offers brightness, a beautiful energy as well as almost an electric side. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of bright small red berries, almsot roasted-juicy red cherry and small notes of crushed small fruits associated with touches of violet, lily as well as hints of Zan, olive tree, slight hints of « sens of place » (local biotop), a discreet hint of liquorice stick, smoke as well as an imperceptible hint of camphor and toasted almond. Beautiful definition and gourmandize. Deepness and a certain concentration.
