The nose is racy and slightly concentrated. It needs to be decanted. There are notes of nutmeg, spices and small notes of roasted small red fruits associated with a hint of clove, blackberry as well as slight hints of pepper and a subtle hint of smoke. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, fleshiness, a beautiful definition / brillance of the fruit, energy, purity as well as gourmandize. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy cherry, bright redcurrant and small notes of roasted small fruits associated with touches of cassis, badian, sage as well as hints of smoke, laurel berries, « sens of place » (local biotop), racy minerality, liquorice and a very discreet sappy hint on the finish/ good work on the good bitterness. Racy tannins. Good persistence.
