Domaine d’Archimbaud – l’Enfant Terrible 2021 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is fresh, precise, tense and offers gourmandize and a beautiful fruit. It needs to be decanted. There are notes of fresh wild cherry, Boysen blackberry and small notes of ripe small fruits associated with touches of liquorice stick, sage as well as discreet hints of local grove/ « sens of place » (local biotop) and a subtle hint of smoke and vanilla. The mouth is fresh and offers juiciness, suavity, gourmandize, a certain small tension, precision, harmony as well as silkiness. Beautiful energy. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy blackberry, juicy/ bright cherry and small notes of red berries associated with touches of laurel berries, sage, bright small fruits as well as slight hints of Zan, black olive, infusion and toasted/ vanilla. Sapid and discreetly sappy tannins. Good length.
