(grapes from plots in Boutenac, but the wine has the IGP category, because the vines are less than 7 years old and are irrigated) The nose is floral, with dominant notes of violet and peony, associated with juicy fruits (blackberry, morello cherry, black plum, blueberry). The palate is very spicy, smoky, peppery, slightly toasted, with a dense fruitiness on ripe black fruits (blackberry, morello cherry, black fig, black plum), as well as a touch of chocolate. Nice roundness and a silky texture on the palate, thanks to fine and velvety tannins. The finish is lingering on fresh black fruits and black fruit jam, but refreshed by lively acidity and slight bitterness.
