Domaine Labruyère – Les Carquelin 2020 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is spicy, peppery, frank and offers intensity. There are notes of cubeb pepper and small notes of violet associated with touches of almost roasted small red fruits and slight almost hints of aromatic herbs. The mouth is fruity, elegant, fresh and offers a beautiful brightness, a beautiful energy and definition of the fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy cherry, pulpy/ tangy plum and small notes of spices associated with touches of local grove/ laurel bay as well as slight hints of nutmeg and hints of cardamom. Good length. Sapid and supple tannins at the same time. A subtle hint of chocolate.
