Domaine du Granit – La Rochelle 2020 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is floral and offers some spices, a certain concentration and stretchiness, almost aerial in its grain. There are notes of fresh flowers/ pistils, saffron (flowery side), black pepper and small notes of blackberry, associated with touches of pulpy cherry, cornflower and liquorice stick, slight hints of racy minerality. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, sappiness, a small tension and precision. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ fresh blackberry, cornflower/ pistil and small notes of red berries associated with touches of  liquorice stick, cardamom as well as hints of chocolate, toast/ vanilla and an almost very discreet hint of caramel. Beautiful varietal freshness and suppleness.
