Paul Jaboulet Aîné La Croix des Vignes 2021 – Saint-Joseph Aoc

Paul Jaboulet Aîné La Croix des Vignes 2021 – Saint-Joseph Aoc

Produced in a particularly well-balanced vintage that yielded a very refined wine from vines around 10-20 years old in a 1.5-hectare vineyard on granite soils. It is aged in oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
It has a ruby color of medium intensity, very bright. The nose releases notes that benefit from vegetal tones in the foreground then sweet red fruit, mentholated and mineral aromas with aeration. On the palate an immediate and impactful viscous sensation, layered and persistent with a pixelated soyeuse tannic texture for a still fruity and intriguing finish. Very long and with an ageing potential of another 20 years.
