Château La Voûte 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château La Voûte 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is velvety, spicy and offers concentration, darkness as well as a nice spicy side. We find notes of blueberry, blueberry, juicy roasted strawberry and small notes of pepper associated with touches of lily, Sichuan pepper as well as fine hints of Lapsang Souchong tea, crushed blueberry and a hint of liquorice.  The palate is fruity with juiciness, smoothness and a tangy structure. We have minerality, depth and a nice racy grain tense with bite. We have notes of wild blackcurrant, small juicy wild black berries and small notes of aromatic grass like complexion, tonka bean and cocoa associated with touches of small juicy roasted red fruits, fresh juicy Bigarreau cherry as well as with hints of sweet blond tobacco as well as a hint of toasted hazelnut. There is depth and a fine hint of black tea. There is palatability and smoothness in the background with a hint of camphor and a chiseled side with good length. We even have a powdery side to the bitters with roasting in the background.
