Le Goût de la Vie 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is aromatic and offers fruit, some spices as well as a certain slight darkness. It reveals notes of blackberry, black cherry and small notes of violet associated with touches of small ripe wild red berries, incense, camphor as well as hints of cornflower, star anise and a subtle almost sweet/almost toasted hint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, suavity and a certain sapidity, a certain gourmandise on the juiciness/brightness of the fruit, a slight darkness/concentration. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, nori cherry and small notes of violet associated with touches of toast, graphene, incense as well as almost hints of tonka bean and toast. A subtle hint of smoke in the background. Good length. An almost gravelly hint in the background.
