Château Ascension 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Ascension 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, fresh, nicely chiseled and offers purity in its definition. There are notes of cassis, small dense/fresh black fruits and small notes of infusion associated with touches of wild strawberry, an almost wild blueberry hint as well as fine hints of graphene, zan and a hint of roasting in freshness. The palate is nicely fresh, fruity, chiseled, precise, ample, beautifully defined and offers minerality, a fresh frame (in the background) as well as darkness in elegance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh/juicy black berries and small notes of infusion associated with touches of black tea, mocha as well as discreet hints of fresh toast, fresh roasting, a hint of nutmeg and a subtle hint of cornflower (in the background). Tannins are racy, sapid and elegant. A beautiful iodized note in the background.
