The nose is fruity and offers elegance, a lovely racy grain, a small mellowness as well as a velvety texture. There are notes of violet, purple plum and crushed blackcurrant associated with touches of nutmeg, spices as well as an almost saline hint, liquorice stick, cherry and an imperceptible almost balsamic hint. The palate is mineral, well-balanced, racy and offers juiciness, a well-managed tannic structure, freshness, a good guideline as well as a chiseled side. A gravelly minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis and small notes of violet, lily associated with touches of roasting, liquorice stick, a hint of salinity as well as a subtle varietal and toasted hint. Tannins offer a certain mellowness.
