Château d’Ausone 2022 – Saint-Emilion

Château d’Ausone 2022 – Saint-Emilion

The nose is fresh, elegant and delicate, with an almost graphene, aromatic side, a beautiful complexity and a slightly fleshy touch. A superb, racy, almost chalky grain. We find notes of blueberry, graphene, and small notes roasted/juicy cherry, associated with touches of vanilla, cornflower, a hint that evokes the terroir. On the palate, the wine is nicely structured, supple, fresh, juicy, elegant, bright, with a beautiful purity of fruit. We perceive notes of bright blackcurrant, blueberry, and slight notes of pulpy cherry, associated with touches of fleshy and crushed small fruits, as well as notes of vanilla, toasted hazelnut and cornflower. A subtle, almost camphorwood touch. In the background, we find nuances of chocolate and licorice. Tannins are mellow and gourmand. Beautiful freshness, suppleness and gourmandise. A sunny side but all in lightness, finesse, mastery, elegance and freshness.
