The nose is more open than that of the 2019 vintage. It expresses notes of juicy fruits (morello cherry, strawberry, juicy red cherry, crushed raspberry, raspberry coulis), a toasted hint (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood), sweet spices (licorice, a slight hint of vanilla), a sweet floral hint (iris), mint chocolate and chocolate morello cherry. The palate is also open and enveloping – it expresses flavors of wild strawberry, morello cherry, juicy red cherry, crushed raspberry and wild blackberry, combined with a spicy, cocoa and gourmet toasted nuance (liquorice, fresh vanilla, toasted hazelnut, toasted almond). There is also a slight earthy touch, balsamic and blood orange peel. The tannins are less tight than in the wine of the 2019 vintage, but well structured and solid, with finesse and a powdery texture. A lively salivating acidity and a good persistence in the mouth.
