(best vintage of the last century). The nose is refined, subtly spicy (liquorice, cardamom, fresh vanilla, cumin, white pepper) and floral (peony, rose, iris). The fruits on the nose are fresh and juicy, not overripe: we find aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, bigarreaux cherry and wild blackberry. We also find a gourmet toasted notes (toasted hazelnut, toasted almond) and a citrus acidity (blood orange). The palate is enveloping and juicy: we find flavors of morello cherry, crushed blueberry, blackcurrant, bigarreaux cherry and wild blackberry, associated with notes of toasted almond, liquorice, cardamom, vanilla, peony and rose, as well as a touch of dried blood orange zest. The tannins are tight, a little firm, but sapid and juicy, with a solid structure. Lively acidity, good length with the tangy notes of cassis and citrus zest on the persistence. A wine on the reserved and closed for the moment, but with potential.
