Château les Combes – Merlot 2022 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is beautifully fruity, bright and gourmand, offering a beautiful definition of the fruit. It reveals notes of boysenberry, bright blackcurrant and, more lightly, roasted-juicy berries, as well as a hint of creamy blue berries and delicate touches of cornflower and star anise. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity, mineral and chiseled, with a beautiful energy, a certain roundness and balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, crushed blueberry and bright blackcurrant, associated with touches of graphene, toast and vanilla. A hint of fresh liquorice in the background as well as a fine salinity brings a pleasant complexity. A lovely wine on the fruit, the gourmandise, easy to access and ideal to pair. The tannins are supple and soft. Beautiful freshness.
