This wine needs to be decanted. The nose is precise, fresh and offers a fine floral side, a nice depth as well as a fine intensity. A precise, mellow and elegant grain. It reveals notes of boysenberry, creamy cherry and small notes of small dense/concentrated black fruits associated with fine touches of violet, a hint of almost grilled aromatic herbs as well as fine hints of roasting. The palate is nicely structured, fruity, fresh, suave with a nice minerality and a nice silkiness. There is a little creaminess while freshness and minerality bringing a nice balance: it’s lace! We have notes of pulpy and juicy cherries, small crushed red berries and small notes of of blackcurrant associated with a touch of violet plum, violet as well as hints of star anise and zan, a subtle almost sappy hint, a discreet note of infusion and a subtle touch of cinnamon and bourbon vanilla. Tannins are tasty and gourmand. There is a slight power on the finish with persistence.
