Château Claud-Bellevue 2022 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

Château Claud-Bellevue 2022 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers density, depth, a certain concentration as well as a fine darkness. Characteristics of clayey soils stand out. There are notes of boysenberry, black pepper and small notes of wild berries associated with touches of black pepper as well as a hint of roasting and graphene. The palate is nicely built, and offers fruit, freshness, juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, good definition, concentration and a certain mellowness of the fruit. It expresses notes of dense blackberry, concentrated/juicy black berries and small notes of fresh/juicy raspberry, associated with touches of camphor, liquorice stick with fine hints of cocoa and a subtle iodine hint in the background. Good work on the good bitters, especially on the finish. Tannins are savoury.
