The nose is nicely built and offers matter as well as a certain suppleness. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of violet associated with touches of cornflower, fine hints of clove, cardamom as well as an almost olive hint and sense of place (local biotope). The palate is nicely built, fresh, supple, precise and offers concentration, mellowness as well as a certain precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, concentrated cassis and small notes of racy minerality (schist?) as well as hints of small bright/fresh red berries, sap, toasted hazelnut and a subtle almost sage hint. Tannins are mellow. Good length.
