The nose is fruity and offers a certain controlled power/intensity. It reveals notes of fig, yellow plum/candied medlar and small notes of candied small fruits, dried orangette associated with touches of spices, turmeric, cardamom and a very discreet almost oceanic/iodized hint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, minerality, a good definition, suppleness, a certain small roundness as well as a fine fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied redcurrants, fig and small notes of fresh date associated with touches of medlar, crushed/candied plum as well as hints of star anise, anise, cardamom and a subtle almost rosewood/blond tobacco hint. Good length. Good persistence with a subtle powdery/tannic and almond hint. Sweet hint on the persistence.
