Assolati 2019 – Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG

Beautiful, ripe and fruity nose that offers elegance and a fine concentration. It reveals notes of roasted-juicy wild red berries (in elegance), Cubeb pepper and small notes of crushed blackcurrant associated with touches of violet, small pulpy blue fruits and a discreet hint of black olive. The palate is nicely built, fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a tangy frame, energy, a certain small tension, precision as well as a nice brightness of fruit. Beautiful freshness and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blueberry, bright red berries and small notes of roasted-elegant small red fruits associated with touches of tangy/juicy bigarreau cherry as well as hints of liquorice stick, tobacco, toasted, a fine hint of rosemary, chocolate and a very discreet almost tapenade hint. Good length.
