Maynard’s 1975 – Colheita Porto

Maynard’s 1975 – Colheita Porto

(Bottled: 2024) The nose is elegant, aromatic, airy, intense as well as complexity. It reveals notes of dried blackberry, dried strawberry and small notes of fresh pepper associated with touches of dried purple plum, hints of blond tobacco as well as a hint of clove and vanilla. The palate is beautifully built, mineral, elegant, racy and offers roundness, unctuosity (well-controlled) as well as a tangy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of purple plum and dried fig associated with fine touches of date, oriental pâtisseries as well as a hint of honey, fresh walnut, fine hints of fresh blond tobacco, a discreet hint almost cinnamon and sweet spices. Good length.
