The nose is elegant, ample and offers elegant power, deepness, a beautiful multi-layered side and offers a beautiful, intense, powerful, delicate and airy grain. It reveals notes of concentrated cassis/cassis liqueur, morello cherry with kirsch and small notes of pepper (pink, black) associated with touches of redcurrants in jelly, a hint of cherry blossom, violet, liquorice stick as well as a fine hint of balsamic and mocha. A beautiful racy side / sense of place (local biotope, dry grove). The palate is beautifully built, supple, elegant, delicate, airy, frank and offers deepness, uprightness as well as concentration (well-controlled, precise and with an airy side). On the palate this Porto expresses notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant liqueur and small notes of candied blueberry associated with touches of crushed redcurrants, hints of cornflower, chocolate / mocha, toast, Madagascar pepper as well as a hint almost aromatic herbs (in the background) and fine hints of roasting. Tannins offer a certain mellowness. Good work on the good bitterness. The finish is powerful. A beautifully built and gourmand wine.
