(Bottled: 2022) The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of clove, nutmeg and small notes of spices associated with touches of undergrowth, fine hints of black olive, black berry liqueur as well as a hint of espresso and gray pepper. The palate is beautifully fresh, mineral, supple and offers roundness, fleshiness as well as a certain density of matter. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of fleshy/pulpy cassis, fleshy/pulpy blueberry and small notes of kirsch cherry associated with touches of tobacco, cocoa/mocha, hints of undergrowth, clove as well as a hint of tobacco, gray pepper and empyreumatic. A subtle hint of toasted hazelnut in the background. The finish is roasted.
