(Bottled: 2023) The nose is intense and offers power and a peppery side. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of Bigarreau cherry, plum and small notes of gray pepper associated with touches of hot/dry grove, fine almost thyme hints, small kirsch red fruits as well as a hint of dried orange zest, hints of smoke, tobacco and zan. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, fat, roundness, width, a sustained/airy side as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of kirsch cherry, dried violet plum and small notes of fig associated with touches of gray pepper, Timut pepper, small jammy fruits as well as hints of clove, nutmeg, spices and tobacco. Tannins are elegant and supple. There is a subtle hint of roasting, coffee and vanilla on the finish/persistence.
