Château Rouget 2022 – Pomerol

Château Rouget 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, elegant, precise, beautifully textured and fine, with both power and delicacy. It reveals notes of boysenberry, lilac and small notes of lily associated with touches of wild strawberry, concentrated small fruits as well as fine hints of star anise, sweet blond tobacco and subtle vanilla touches. The palate is beautifully built, fresh, supple and offers fat, deepness, gourmandize, full of precision, control and delicacy. We perceive a beautiful texture, with notes of fleshy/pulpy blackcurrant, red berries, violet and iris associated with touches of graphene, tonka bean/mocha as well as toasted hints, sweet blond tobacco and a touch of vanilla. A subtle hint of concentrated blueberry appears in the background, accompanied by a note of sap. The finish has a pleasant varietal bitterness and a touch of roasting. Beautiful persistence.
