Château La Croix Saint-Georges 2022 – Pomerol

The nose offers a certain concentration, a fine power and a certain deepness on the spices. There are notes of bright blue berries, elegant roasted cherry and small notes of pulpy cassis associated with touches of bergamot, sweet spices and a subtle almost balsamic hint in the background. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, good definition, accuracy, suppleness, a certain straightness, an airy side as well as deepness and concentration. We perceive notes of concentrated raspberry, pulpy and juicy blackberry, small notes of small bright blue berries associated with touches of violet rose as well as fine notes of racy minerality, a subtle hint of rose and fine touches of tobacco and star anise. Good length. Hints of chocolate and toasted/caramelized in the background. A beautiful persistence with mellowness.
