Château Lafleur-Gazin 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is aromatic, airy and ample, with bright notes of blackberry, flowers (cornflower, lilac, hint of rose) and a beautiful presence of roasted red berries, associated with touches of cubeb pepper and spices. The palate is nicely built, fruity and fresh, with a nice minerality and a fresh frame. The smoothness is delicate, balanced, offering a fair harmony between the material and the freshness. The notes of pulpy blackcurrant, creamy blackberry and small blue fruits associated with a touch of crushed morello cherry, cornflower, bourbon vanilla, as well as fine hints of chocolate and toast. In the background, a hint of toasted hazelnut and a subtle almost smoky note add complexity. The tannins are elegant and racy. The palate is nicely fresh, round and airy.
